I'm a newspaper reporter and I've wondered if I should tell my boss because sometimes it affects my job. Mornings are particulary D prone, and so I can't really do early morning assignments. A few months back my boss asked if I wanted to cover the president coming to town. In order to do that, you have to get there hours ahead of time (like 5/6 a.m.) and stand outside and last time I covered a White House thing the Secret Service had to escort you to the porta-pot. Can you imagine?! I told him no and then felt guilty - does he think I'm unmotivated? Scared?
I've considered telling him, but I find a sense of pride in not telling him because it means I'm getting by, I'm living a semi-normal life , you know and it makes it seem like less of a disability.
