When you take the psyllium, do you take it on an empty stomach before bed, or does it matter if its empty or not? I've taken it both ways, but seems to be best a couple hrs. after the last meal. Work up to an amount of soluble fiber supplement that works for you then supplement with foods that are balanced in both the soluble and insoluble range with solubles being your base of a meal and the insolubles being in a form that won't trigger you...well cooked, soups, smoothies, etc. You have to work up to some more difficult insoluble foods. It took me a year to work up to having a normal 1/2 cup serving of beans. I did it one teaspoon at a time a couple times a week, then it was 2 teaspoons and so on. Same with lettuce...one leaf at at time. Good luck..you'll get there. Just take baby steps and be consistent when you find what works for you. Kandee
