Kandee,
Thanks for your help. A triple dose of Konsyl is 18 mg of fiber. Is that what you take at night? I'm figuring it's more like 15 g. at night because I use a slightly smaller teaspoon. But yep, that's right, however if you give it a try work up slowly, using only one rounded teaspoon for a while to see how you do. That may be all you need. Out of 6 g. of the Konsyl (psyllium), 2 g. are insoluble. That seems to be what this "C" (me) needs. I've been taking only 6 mg at night and maybe another 12 mg during the day combining pills and powder. Check to see how much is soluble and how much is insoluble in your fibers. If I took ONLY soluble fiber supplements, which I do during the day to act as a buffer to a meal, I would still have "C" problems. I mix and match as well, but seem to need that extra kick of phsyllium (it's in Metamucile too) at night to keep things going . Then again maybe it's just me and as you know from all the posts not everyone does well on the same thing. Be aware that psyllium can bloat you like crazy...that's why I only take it at night. Yes, my daily fiber intake is high, but it's something I've worked up to over a year. It's been baby steps all the way with diet and fiber..but well worth it . Kandee
