You could seriously not pay me enough to take MoM. I'm an A - I alternate - and for the C, I used to take stool softeners, and even THOSE (supposedly they're gentle, right?) would leave me cramping for days.
Sorry to hear it's hit you so hard. Have you been following Heather's diet, to the letter? Have you been incorporating insolubles safely? How about that soluble fiber supplement? It does take quite a bit longer for C to resolve itself - I'm *finally* starting to feel some relief from that end of the IBS spectrum, and I've been on the diet about 3 months - but it DOES happen, promise!
Now then... when you get home... some peppermint tea, some nice soothing (soluble-fiber) food, and a heating pad. I keep a bottle of witch hazel in the fridge & a roll of cotton pads (like cotton balls, but flat) in the bathroom at all times - soak a pad down & use it as a compress, it will soothe your poor sore bum.
