The simple way to test that is to not eat the jam, and see what happens. Personally, I can't have jams and jellies at all, even the "all-fruit" kinds - whether it's the fruit or because they're too sweet (I have attacks from sweet things).
I think you could do a quick board search and find out more about jams and preserves... I know someone else asked about this maybe a week ago.
