Broad spectrum enzymes - HOW good are they?

Hi

In NZ the digestive enzymes aren't nearly as broad spectrum as the ones you guys use in America. Pretty much the only ingredients they contain are amylase, lipase, protease, papain, bromelain and sometimes cellulase. I've tried a few of these and found they help a little, but nothing spectacular.

Well I really want to try an enzyme that contains alpha-galactosidase (the ingredient in beano) because my main problem is with bloating and gas. After a major search I've come to the conclusion I'm not going to find any here so I'm considering ordering some Digest Gold or Garden of Life Omegazyme online.

My question is how helpful have you guys found these in easing gas and bloating when eating veggies/fruit? I don't want to pay heaps of money to order them from overseas if they're not going to be any better than the ones I get here! Also are they any cheap brands that are good?

Thanks for any input

Hannah
