Hi everyone! I was diagnosed with IBS yesterday. I have been dealing with it for years, but I was always scared to go to the doctor because I didn't want them to tell me that it's "all in my head." So I finally went and she didn't act like that at all. However, she prescribed Zelnorm to me. I haven't started taking it yet, though, because all the research I have done on Zelnorm says that it is for constipation. However, I have more problems with diarrhea than constipation. The doctor I saw yesterday is not my regular doctor, but I have made a follow-up appointment with my regular doctor for next month. Should I call my regular doctor and talk with her now, or just wait until next month? Or should I try to take the Zelnorm anyway? Thanks!
