Hi, Thought I'd share something quick and useful I have learned from my yoga teacher.
An excellent way to refresh yourself and keep you going through the day/evening is to lie flat on your back (some support under the head) with your legs up over a chair/lounge/edge of bed. Your legs should form a right angle.
Yogis (not sure of spelling!) believe that 5 minutes of doing this is as restful for the body as a good night's sleep. I like to do it after work so I have more energy for cooking dinner, bathing my son etc.
It's also a really good position to be in for IBS. It takes the pressure off the tummy and back and makes it feel so much better.
Just make sure your toes aren't higher than your knees or else I find I get pins and needles in my feet!
Enjoy, Kerrie

Kerrie,
Thanks for this tip! How wonderful--you can use this same thing for energy and to put you to sleep! Wow! I'll have to try this out! Thanks for your great tip!
Happy Friday!

Now that is an idea, I am sure it helps us to reduce stress as well. I am thinking of getting info on Yoga because I've read on this board how relaxing it is. I usually just read my Bible to receive that, but I understand now how it can soothe the limbs in the body.
