Hi, I posted a long description of my problems in the thread "Re: Green Thickies" because I had a question about the amount of fiber in those (i.e., when using a VitaMix) which grinds up veggies/fruit on a cellular level, etc. I am new to this whole message board thing, so, if anyone is reading this, could you please go to my post under Health22 for 1/17/13 as it describes in more detail my concerns. Any help would be great...Presently I can't eat any raw veggies, they have to be cooked. I can only eat ripe bananas and avocados raw. Which is really wearing on me..thus, my quest for the VitaMix (which I haven't purchased yet...but am researching before I do)...Sorry for being so "spastic" (hahaha) about these posts...just not sure how to do this forum correctly, but I'll get the hang of it. Again, if anyone's reading this could you please read my post under "Re: Green Thickies"...Thanks in advance, Much appreciation...Janet Health22

Welcome to the board,
You might get a quicker response if you post to the IBS diet board.
I have not found that grinding raw high insoluble fiber veggies prevents triggering IBS symptoms. However, I can eat ground berries as long as the seeds and pulp are removed. I use a juicer instead of a food processor type of product as food processor does not remove the pulp.

If you look above this post you will see "IBS Diet", "IBS Recipes" .... "Living Room". Click on "IBS Diet" and it will take you to the diet board.
Oh - Heather just wrote a nice response to someone else in this message about insoluble fiber foods.
