Hello, I've noticed that quite a few recipes on here and in EFI call for scallions...could someone please tell me what they are? And where I would find them? Thanks! Kelly

Hey Kelly! I've heard of that before but couldnt remember what they were so I looked them up and they are actually just green onions, its just a fancy name for them!
Scallions are also known as green onions and refer to a distinct variety of immature onions. The vegetable has a white base that has not fully developed into a bulb and green leaves that are long and straight. Both parts are edible. Store in the refrigerator, wrapped for up to five days. They can be eaten raw or cooked in numerous dishes from soups to salads. hehe
