I bought a rice cooker (per Heather's suggestion in one of her books) and everytime I cook the rice, I end up with a layer of it stuck to the bottom of the cooker. The cooker has an automatic sensor that turns the cooker to "warm" when the rice is done, so I'm afraid if I take the lid off sooner than when is indicated, I'll end up with crunchy rice.
Does anyone else have problems with rice sticking to the bottom of their cooker?
Thanks!

I've had that happen to me before. Mine is not non-stick. I do spray it with cooking spray, but that doesn't help all the way. I did notice 2 things. If I only cook 1 cup of rice, it sticks. The more rice I cook at once, the less gets stuck at the bottom. Also, the longer I keep it on warm after it's done, the more likely it is to stick, so I turn it off after the time mine says to keep on warm after the cooking process, which is 15 min.
Hope this helps!

That helps a lot! Yup..I only cook 1 cup of rice at time and have not sprayed the cooker with non-stick spray.
I will definitely try your suggestions...thanks!
