I haven't tried this, but here you go:
Teriyaki Sauce
1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger 3 garlic cloves, mashed 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil 1 tablespoon rice vinegar 1 tablespoon raw honey 1/2 cup naturally fermented soy sauce
Mix all ingredients together with a whisk. Makes 3/4 cup. --_Nourishing Traditions_

Thank TessLouise!
Unfortunately, I won't be able to find sesame oil or rice vinegar.
But thanks for trying!

Kim - substitute safflower oil (or similar) and regular vinegar maybe w/a little sugar added.
Sharon
PS - I thought there was a recipe for Teriyaki Sauce from HanSolo posted a while back. Use SEARCH and see if you can find it.

Hi - both sesame oil and rice vinegar are Japanese staples. Can you check a local store? I would have guessed you'd have access to ten times the choices for these ingredients than someone in the US. Not true?

Not bragging .... but my teriyaki recipe is very flexible with ingredients. I substitute and add and omit like crazy and it still turns out fine.

Anybody know the Japanese characters for those products? Cuz if it ain't in English it doesn't get found. Seriously - staple products in Japan have zero English on them. When they ship them out of the country - thats when they slap an English label on them.

Well, duh, I hadn't thought of that! That would make it tough. Any stores where the people who work there speak English and could help you?

I've tried communicating with a dictionary but then people get confused and frustrated. English is minimal in these sorts of places. People who can speak English are usually in office jobs.

Would you mind telling me how to do that? You know, on this reply you could link the person directly to the recipe? It is sure handy and I would like to know. I checked the FAQ and didn't see anything.

No prob. This gives me a chance to tell you I JUST got finsihed eating your kick-butt Teriyaki Sauce again. Made the chicken fajitas last night for dinner, and I just had leftovers for lunch. I still can't get over how good it is!
Anyway, it's kind of confusing explaining it through typing, so if you have any questions/probs, let me know. When you're typing your post select "URL" from the Instant UBB Codes (to the right of the Graemlins). A message box will pop up and ask for your link address. Type it in if you know it, or go to the page you want to link to (I like to go to File, New, Window from my Internet Explorer menu so I don't lose my post or I copy it before I start my post), highlight the address (here's what I had to select for your recipe: http://www.ibsboards.com/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=recipe&Number=1655&Forum=recipe&Words=fajita%20chicken&Match=And&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=1655&Search=true#Post1655) copy it and paste it into this message box. Once you do that, select "OK", then it will ask what you want to name your link. The default is "web page", but you can change it to whatever you like. Then select "OK" and it places it in your post.
Hope this makes sense. Like I said, it's kind of confusing to explain through typing. Let me know how you make out!
