Spaghetti With Mushrooms

7 oz uncooked thin spaghetti 5 oz mushrooms sliced 2 tbsp non hydronated margarine 2 tbsp flour 2 tbsp lemon juice 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 2 cups rice or soy milk 3 tbsp snippped parsley
Cook Spaghetti as directed on pkg. Cook mushrooms and maragrine in a 3qt sauce pan over medium heat until tender. Stir in flour, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until mixture is smooth and bubbly, remove from heat. Gradually stir in milk. Heat to boiling stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in hot spaghetti and parsley. Cover and let stand 10 minutes. Servings 6 at 280 calories per serving. Enjoy with a slice of warm sourdough bread.

Yes, I found out the hard way that they bother me, too. Weird, since they're supposed to be a safe soluble fiber food. You're not alone! Luckily it's not a problem for me because I never liked them much anyway.

Yep. Can't eat them. My gastro says there's a chemical in them that is in aged foods like beer, wine, cheese, smoked meats that some people can't digest. Anyway, never cared for the things.

Okay, so how did you get the cartoon reduced like that before you posted it? I am SOOO bad at this -- I just can't figure it out!

Hey Bev... the cartoon was actually the right size. But if it hadn't been, I would have opened it up in Paintshop and used the "reduce size" feature to take it down to whatever size I wanted it to be. Sometimes it's trial and error... it took me quite awhile to get the new picture of me the right size so I didn't look all weird.
If you're taking an image from somewhere on the web and you can't alter it in your computer, there's nothing much you can do, I don't think.
