Hello, I've been looking for some good soy desserts as I'm trying to eliminate dairy and seriously missing my ice cream (although not missing the pain!) and I stumbled across this website of a company that makes premium soy desserts. http://www.turtlemountain.com Has anyone tried any of their stuff? How is it? Thanks, Kelly

I have tried this and love it! But you have to be careful because it has a high fat percentage. To much fat could cause an attack. I usually have one or two small spoonfuls after a soluble fiber dinner!
They make really good stuff! Enjoy....(carefully)

Ohhhh yes. I love their soy delicious ice creams. You seriously can't tell you're not eating dairy. My favorite flavors are mint marble fudge and cookie avalanche. As Steph mentioned, I take it easy on them because of the fat, especially the cookie avalanche. But I've found that the flavors that come in quarts, like the mint fudge, are lower in fat, whereas the pints are more like the Ben and Jerry's of soy ice cream and tend to be fattier! Anyway, sorry to ramble on, I just love the stuff. You should definitely give it a try!

Hi Vicam!
I love taste tests. Hubby and I do them all the time.
We bought out the ice cream aisle on one of our trips down to the health food store, 30 miles south of us, last month. We taste-tested Cookie Avalanche with a lot of other frozen soy desserts, among which was Soy Dream Mocha Fudge. As everyone here knows by now, my very fave -- and hubby's as well -- is the Mocha Fudge. (Frankly, I didn't care much for the Cookie Avalanche.) Now, whenever we go down to the health food store, I buy Mocha Fudge by the cart-full. I can't eat a lot of it because of its fat content, but hubby goes crazy over it. He says -- and I agree -- it's better than any real ice cream he's ever had. (Okay, maybe not Schwan's Pistachio -- do they still make that stuff?)
Next time you go to the health food store, buy a small carton of each -- including Soy Dream Strawberry Swirl -- ooooh -- and do a taste test of your own. Let us know which you like best!

I'm assuming you mean non-dairy, Shell?
Nope, never heard of them. But fat free?! This could be a wonderful thing! Lol.

Ok, I'll have to try it. I did a search on their website for my city to see what stores have it, and there's only a few listed so hopefully it's up to date and I can pick some up...that's my goal for this weekend! Find some mocha soy frozen dessert

Thanks for the info, Shell! I can't wait to see if they have that at my supermarket. I wouldn't mind being a guinea pig.
