Hi - I don't eat meat and you guys use ready-made chicken broth in loads of recipes. Any ideas for what I could use instead? I'm really missing out here

You can use veggie broth instead.

What kind Mags? Would something like spring vegetable do? I have trouble finding many ready made soups etc that are dairy free. For some reason they chuck milk into EVERYTHING!

I have a powdered kind I got at Whole Foods, but I've seen canned too. I got the powdered to make Heather's pot pie originally, and I hardly ever use the veggie kind so powdered works for me. Unfortunately, I don't know what they sell over there.
Heather has a recipe for Basic Vegetable Stock in EFI. I think you can make that and freeze it to use as you need it.

I don't know what they have over there either, Linz, but I get my broth in asceptic packages. It's by Pacific broth, and it looks like this... except it says Vegetable Broth instead of mushroom, I just couldn't find an exact picture:
web page
There must be some good broth for you somewhere! Although Mags idea about making Heather's is great too.

Linz, do you eat chicken? I make my own stock because I think it tastes far better than the canned stuff: Chicken Stock
I always have it on hand, and it's totally fat-free. Give it a try.
