I have been looking for a good white bread that doesn't contain bleaching agents and other harmful chemicals. Does anyone know any brand name breads that are healthy? I can't eat grains anymore which is sad.
What does everyone here eat for breads?

Here you go, hope this helps!

Fresh white breads such as French or sourdough (NOT whole wheat or whole grain)*
*Please choose a baked-daily, high quality, preservative-free brand. White bread does not mean Wonder.

I'm not sure where you are in Canada... but here is a link to a place you might be able to get to? Or maybe they sell their bread in some grocery stores near you.

Hi Sara,
I like whole wheat (it doesn't bother me, thank God!), potato bread, or sourdough. Hubby likes white dinner rolls -- they're good too.
However, we were down at the health food store this morning, and I was checking out the freshly baked breads there -- no bad stuff in them! -- and YUMMMMMMMMM! My suggestion to you is get yourself down to the nearest health food store and be prepared for a real TREAT!

You're lucky you can eat whole wheat bread! I wish I could but have proven to myself that I can't. I will go to a health food store. Thanks.

I have eaten ACE bakery breads before but never white breads. I will try them. I'm in Ottawa and they sell their products at Loblaws.
Thanks!
