I'm making this bread. I had to buy 4 small lemons. It calls for 2 but the lemons were so small that I bought 4. Anyway's about how much lemon juice for the glaze? The glaze I've made isn't thick. Is it suppose to be?
Thanks!

I made the bread, but I used TOO MUCH fresh lemon juice -- and we ultimately had to cut off the "crust", it was just too strong. You don't want it thick because you want it to seep into the little holes you make on the top of the bread. As I recall, the recipe calls for 1/4 cup lemon juice -- I personally don't think you need that much; next time I'm cutting it in half.
By the way, it's excellent bread. I even like it toasted.

Thanks Bev! I can't wait to try it. I'm letting it cool a bit! I love the Einstines (sp?) brothers lemon pound cake so much!! I hope this is kind of like it!!
Thanks!

Einstein's brothers? I don't know them -- but it's very interesting that you mentioned pound cake. Heather's recipe is VERY similar to pound cake!
