They recently changed the ingredient listing on their packages. I wrote them and asked them why they changed the ingredients. They told me (in a round-about way) that they haven't changed any ingredients, they are just making corrections to the packaging. So, apparently, these items have always contained trace amounts of dairy. Which is true for a number of other things I eat, I discovered. I'm able to tolerate these trace amounts but whether or not other people can will have to be determined by each person when they try it. According to the EFI diet, no dairy is good for you. But if you find that these small amount are okay for your body, then it's alright. I know that's not a very clear answer. I wish that IBS and diet had easy black and white answers.

Great ... thanks for the quick response! I am still at that "Should I?/Can I?" phase. So far, so good. Most of my meals contain orzo and an allowed vegie. Today, I added peaches for the first IF in days ... as I said, so far, so good.
Oh, how about couscous? Didn't see it on the SF or IF list ... safe to eat?
Thanks, Elizabeth

Heather actually has a couscous recipe on her cookbook, so I'd say yes. As always though, check all of the ingredients to make sure nothing has been added that will trigger attacks.

Thanks ... I rather thought it was an allowed food, but wondered ... as you know, one never knows! I have always read ingredient lists on products, but I'm even more careful now! I can't wait to get Heather's two books that I've ordered ... now, I could spend hours in fron on the computer screen reading all about IBS! Thanks again.
