Does anyone have a good recipe for a stir fry sauce (like sweet and sour) that does not have any soy in it (i.e. soy sauce)? I LOVE stir fry, but since I figured out that soy is one of my biggest triggers I don't know what to use for sauce...either boughten or home made.

I have used just vinegar mixed with brown sugar before and it tasted good. I don't have a reecipe because I just guess"timate" when I cook and do taste tests along the way. It would be good with some white wine added into it and cooked off but I don't use any when I cook.

using toasted sesame oil as your stir fry oil lends a great flavour to the vegetables and then just a bit of chopped ginger and you are ready to go.

Here's a recipe I found on the web:
Soy Free "Soy" Sauce Source: GFCFRecipes list 8 oz molasses 3 oz balsamic vinegar sugar to taste
Combine ingredients. Refrigerate.
