I have a rice cooker with a timer, and that's it. No temperature settings, no different modes, nothing. Does anyone have a rice recipe that I can use for this cooker?

I'd just throw in 1 part rice, 2 parts water and a dash of salt and turn it on. Can you set the timer or is it just an on/off option?

I set the timer for a certain time. Rice is normally 34 minutes.

Check out page 10 in the users manual!
It gives you the amounts of rice Vs liquid and cooking times.... try using broth in place of water, add seasoning, mushrooms, parsley (other freash herbs), onions, garlic (powder even)...etc...to the steamer before cooking....
Hope that helps......?
