I purchased the ingredients to make Heather's Double Decker Sweet Potato Pie...How do I steam sweet potatoes? This morning I am in the process of making the Autumn Sweet Potato Pumkin Muffins that were printed in the newsletter. I'm hoping they'll be perfect for our church fall festival reformation day party which starts later tonight. Each family is asked to bring a soup or stew, a pie or pudding, and bread in a basket..... Thanks in advance for any help. I'm clueless in the kitchen! Carina

Hi - for steaming sweet potatoes, I'd peel the potato, chop it up, then cook it either in the microwave or on the stove with a little water the same as regular veggies.
But honestly, whenever I run into a recipe that uses steamed sweet potatoes, I just prick the sweet potato with a fork a few times, then make a baked sweet potato in the microwave, then just use that. I find it to be less work.
Hope you like the muffins! I still have to try the pumpkin version of them.
