Someone was recently saying they couldn't find a Worcestershire sauce without HFCS, so I thought I'd share this homemade version I found online.
Vegetarian Worcestershire Sauce
1 cup cider vinegar 1/3 cup dark molasses 1/4 cup soy sauce (can use low sodium) 1/4 cup water 3 Tbsp lemon juice 1 1/2 tsp salt 1 1/2 tsp powdered mustard 1 tsp onion powder 3/4 tsp ground ginger 1/2 tsp black pepper 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon 1/8 tsp ground cloves -- or allspice 1/8 tsp ground cardamom
Combine all the ingredients in a blender. Pour into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Store in a jar in the refrigerator. Makes about 2 cups.

Whenever it says worchestershire sauce in an ingredient list for something else and they list the sauce's ingredients there is never HFCS? I wonder where companies get this sauce without HFCS. Also I noticed the brand of hoisin I have has HFCS! I usually buy another brand so I will be more careful next time. It was kame that has it.
