How is Corn Chowder with regard to the IBS diet? I had a cup of it the other day at work when I was feeling too ill for solid food and it really helped. Also, how do you make it? I've only had chowders in the States before (I'm a Brit) and I haven't got a clue!

Hi - two things are key here. One is that you use soy or rice milk and not dairy. The other is that you puree the soup thoroughly to really minimize the insoluble fiber from the corn kernels. You can even strain the corn after it's pureed to filter out even more of the husks. Or, blend the whole batch and strain half of it for a combination.
