I made this for my family on the weekend and it was a winner! I have never made my own pastry crust before so was very proud of the results. (Even though I had to use a glass for a rolling pin which I don't own!!!!!)
We had some leftover which I reheated for my dinner the following night and it still tasted good. I thought the crust would go all soggy but it was fine.
If you haven't tried it yet, you should. It took me a while to prepare but I think I would be faster next time.

How can I get the recipe for this? I don't have the newsletter, I'm new on board. Hope someone has an answer.

Thank you so much for this recipe, it is wonderful. My husband stated after two mouthfuls "you'll have to cook this again"! Question - can you suggest a gluten free option for the pastry and sauce?

My husband also loved it, unusual as he's usually a meat and potatoes guy......lol. I made mine gluten free easily by changing the white flour in the pie itself to rice flour. It's only 1/3 cup, so it's not noticeable using different flour. As for the crust, you can get an all purpose Baking Mix (like Bisquick) that's gluten free at most health food stores. Arrowhead Mills makes a good one. Just make the biscuit recipe.
