I don't drink chai so I can't swear to this, but supposedly Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice tea has the same spices that you find in a "traditional serving of Indian spiced tea". You can read about it and see the ingredient list here:

Assuming this is the taste you want, you could either brew the tea in water and add milk or, possibly, just brew the teabag in the boiling milk.

If you want a chai tea bag, this is my current favorite: Yogi Tea Redbush Chai I like this with Silk French Vanilla Creamer. I've actually gotten a coworker addicted to it! LOL I usually add Sugar in the Raw to it, but that's up to you - I like mine sweet.

Did you ever find your spices for chai? I buy from Penzey's online -- they are a great company to deal with. Their web address is penzeys.com --

Thank you so much Melissa for this wonderful way of making chai tea! I have been trying to come off coffee but could not do the peppermint tea in the morning and the was making Tazo Chai concentrate which is way to sweet. I could not find the REdbush tea at Wholefoods but picked up Yogi Black Chai Tea it was just not the strong for me so I added a black tea bag and that is better and the French Vanilla adds the perfect sweetness. Three days without coffee and my tummy feels better already!
