Anyone have any creative recipes with fake meat?

Do you have Heather's cookbook? She does all kinds of cool things with TVP (textured vegetable protein). It's basically dehydrated soy flakes. For some reason I think I remember you saying you can't have soy -- is that true or am I just making it up?
Anyway if you can have it, try her sloppy joes, and also try the bbq variation here. good luck

search at Kraft Foods

If for some reason that link didn't work, go to www.kraftfoods.com, and do a search for "boca".

Obviously, you don't have to just use Boca products (burgers, sausage, etc), but it'll give you 100 ideas of what to do with whatever fake meat you want to substitute. Enjoy!

I take chicken breast and flatten each one. Spray an 8x8 pyrex dish with Pam or Canola oil spray. I then put the fake meat spread on each flattened chicken piece then roll each one up and put it in the pyrex dish. Sprikle mushrooms around and fill with a little water. Salt and pepper the top, also a little garlic powder. The pour honey all over each chicken roll up. Bake at 350 for maybe 25 minutes. Delicious!

No, I can eat soy, I just can't eat a lot of it right now. I'm working on building up my tolerance.

I use the canned Worthington "Choplets", dice it up a bit, saute it with onions and make soft taco's with soycheese and any tolerable fillings.

Worthington products are sold in the supermarkets in the health food section. I find them in Kroger (I live in Houston, TX)
