If you are using regular long-grain rice you should use 3 cups of water for 2 cups of rice.

the directions for mine said to leave it for 15 minutes after it turns to warm... so it takes about 35 minutes for 3 cups (what we normally make at a time!)

Thank you. I was using 2 cups rice and 2 cups water. That is what it said in the instructions for Long Grain white reice. Thanks, I'll try that!

Thanks, that's what I did, but the rice tasted hard. I'll try it again. Thanks!

That's what mine says as well. I think I'm going to put more water in it. Maybe that will help. Thanks.

Yes, it goes form cook to warm. But it says to keep it on warm for about 15 minutes for fluffy rice, so I keep in on warm. I think I just need more water someone else said. I will try again. Thanks Shell.

that the rice cookers are really made for Calrose rice which is closer to medium grain. You can find Calrose rice in the asian sections of most grocery stores. It's the best...I grew up in Japan.
