Hi,
I've been wanting to make some of the recipes from heather's cookbook, but can't find mushroom soy sauce anywhere. Has anyone been successful finding it, and where?

Hey I use Pearl River Bridge Mushroom Flavoured Superior Dark Soy Sauce. I think I must have gotten it at Whole Foods. It is very nice, but a little too thick and flavorful to use with sushi. I like it in recipes though. The website on the bottle is here. Maybe they list stores that carry it on there. Talk to you later, Panda

using either Golden Mountain or Braggs Liquid Seasoning intsead (you may have to use less, these are both usually stronger than mushroom soy sauce). Any health food store should carry both. They're not exactly the same, but they're darn close (especially Braggs, which is super-delicious).

...in the spice aisle. Look for where they keep the gravy mixes and cans of gravy... they'll have "browners" like Kitchen Bouquet and such... and that's where I've seen the Bragg's.
