Heather - I just wanted to say that I love the cookbook and have been using it so much that I've managed to crack the binding and have pages coming out.
I don't know if you've considered doing another cookbook, but I'd like to toss my vote in for spiral bound. I am sure that is more expensive for the publisher, but I just thought I would toss the thought out there.
You do great work!

Anyone looking at my copy would easily be able to tell it's used daily (more than once too!). I too, have pages falling out, sauce splashed on many pages etc, etc. It's certainly the most read book I've ever owned!!!

Hi Heather - Thanks so much! I am working on a new cookbook, with a fast and easy, all-American (as opposed to ethnic) recipes focus. It will be less of a cookbook and more of a guidelbook than Eating for IBS, with more suggestions for quick meals and snacks and fewer recipes. This is what I've had the most requets for - lots of folks don't cook, don't want to, or don't have the time to, but they still need to eat safely. And they don't want ethnic foods, but traditional favorites (like meatloaf and casseroles, pancakes for breakfast, that type of thing).
I'll mention the spiral bound to my publisher but I honestly don't have much control in that area. The cover, binding, layout and design, etc. is out of my hands. I can scream if I really dislike something, but I don't even usually see the results until they're nearly done. And so much of the publisher's choices come down to money. That's why there are no photos in the books - color printing is super expensive, and for special diet books they won't do that.
Anyway, I'll try my best, and keep you posted.
- Heather
