Hey yall! I hope everyone is doing better today. It seems to have been a rocky week for many of us Anyway, I just thought I'd post up that I applied today at Sears and had a "mini-interview" already! She told me that she give my application to the fine jewelry department (Isn't that weird - I can't stand to wear jewelry!!) because that's a good department for 16-year-olds to work in. She said that if they hired me, I'd be making base wage with commission off of everything that I sell. Commission could be good or bad I guess...it's a cursed blessing! Anyways, she said that they'd call me back soon for another interview if they're interested. Cross your fingers, please! I hate interviews!!!

yeah interviews can suck - what part of them do you hate or have trouble with? lol, once again i am similar to you. I don't love wearing it every day but its nice sometimes... - lol, and I never wear makeup...oh thats bad isnt it - I am nearly 19. I mean I wear lipgloss and eyeshadow occasionally but normally I can't be bothered...haha.

Well, I just hate the stupid questions that they ask you. For example, today the girl asks, "So, tell why you're interested in working in fine jewelry." Uh...I wasn't!! lol Oh, well. A job's a job that gets me paid! lol

I NEVER wear makeup! lol I am in my picture just because I'm at a dance so I thought that it was pretty much required! Normally I just stick with Chapstick

I don't wear much jewelry myself, but I worked in a jewelry store for a while, and recently did a holiday season in the jewelry department of Filene's, and it was FUN. Don't worry about it being commission - jewelry practically sells itself, all you have to do is be charming and friendly, and I think you've got that nailed. You'd be great!

Fingers crossed!

Oh, thanks Casey! I needed that! I'm glad that now I know someone who's worked with jewelry. Hopefully they'll call me back and I'll get hired Thanks!!

Hey Peaches,
Have you ever thought about working at a pharmacy/drug mart? My sis. works at one and she likes it a lot. What about a grocery store (or is that considered a crappy job???) ALSO, I know that sometimes hotels hire people...are there any near you?
Hoping you got the jewellery job though!!!
