...you have absolutely NO STRESS in your life, your BMs are more normal than they've been in months, and you can't sleep because you're wondering when your friggin' fennel tea is going to come!
Somebody save me from my own ridiculousness...

.. of INVENTING things to be stressed about, because I don't know how to function when I'm not worrying, obsessing, or fussing over something.
The sad thing is that the accusation is true.

My boyfriend says that I get just as worried that there ISN'T something to worry about, as I do when I am just plain ol' worrying like everyone else does. --Steph

.... on your first visit to the GI doc, you bring a 2 page typed history of your symptoms, and a detailed food diary going back two weeks. He said, before doing any tests, "I suspect you might have IBS ... it's quite common in people with obsessive/compulsive personality traits." Gee, thanks, Doc!

I did almost the same thing wiht my doc! Except mine's an idiot so he just brushed off all my hard work and told me IBS is all in the head and that I should stop worrying and eat whatever I want. Then I told him that it's not in my nature to NOT worry or be a perfectionist about things! So then he told me that I probably have OCD and that having it probably wasn't helping my situation. Whatever!!
