IBS on a raw food diet

Hi to you all. I found this site and have been cleaning out my cupboards! Thank you for all your posts. It has been great reading and encouragement! I have a friend who knows I have what she calls "this IBS thingie" and just told me about the raw food diet and how she knows of a relative on it and now her IBS is gone. What are your opinions on a raw food diet?

raw food? like what? veggies? that sounds completely opposite to what i have heard on this site....most would say they could only tolerate very very small amounts of raw veggies, everything must be really really well cooked!!! hmmm, do you have more info?

I can't even eat a salad without suffering pain. I can't imagine eating anything raw except the occasional carrot and a peeled apple.
