I have been on prednisone since February 24ish and have gained 13.5 pounds. I am going to see the dietician next week who can hopefully help me. I keep being told that once I'm off the pred that things will gradually get back to normal and I will have a better chance of losing the weight. My final pred dose is on May 30 and I am so counting the days.
The funny thing about my weight gain is that I think I've gained 10 of the 13.5 in my boobs! NOT COOL! I'm busting out (no pun intended) of my tops!
Hang in there.

well if you have to gain it...thats the best place for it
i'm a big breasted girl so i know
and thanks for the compliment Katy!!
I used to work out like a maniac before, and i stopped for like 6 months. when i went back yesterday i thought 'ok, just like before 45 minutes of running, 25 minutes of wiehgt training...let's go' but when i felt like i was going to die after 20 minute running i got off the machine.
i'm trying to easy my way back into it, but it is so upsetting when you know what you used to be able to do and get knocked back to baby steps.
but we'll see!

Wow, JuLee, your program is awesome!! Good for you!! Scotland, how cool! Just don't be too aggressive in the weight loss. You know they say that if you take it off slowly you're more likely to keep it off.
Good luck, pretty lady!

i think my metabolism is totally broken.
aside from not losing weight on the scale yet, how do you FEEL? are your clothes a little loser? are you feeling energetic? that's usually an indication that you're doing well. i've noted that pounds don't come off as quickly as those physical changes happen. sometimes i'd not lose weight according to the scale, but i'd feel thinner through the waist or in the arms or wherever it was that particular time. and i'd feel lighter, somehow, and energetic. then, maybe a week, maybe two weeks later i'd see the scale register that with a drop of a few pounds.
anyway, i'm sure it will work out! if you're being disciplined, then it can't help but work, right? i'm thinking good thoughts for you!
