That might not be too bad an idea. Go visit somewhere other than going home. I've been to NYC but only for a day. Actually it was a trip there made me decide to become a pilot.

Oh, I never play that game, Jamie! No way to win the age guessing game!

Ah but Jen, you have to remember that I'm a guy and don't get offended if you guess to high or too low

Well, I'll butt in and make a guess! I'd say you're a very youthful looking 30. Am I close??

Hey LauraSue,
I like it when people think I'm older than I really am I'm actually only 24.
When I was in my last year of highschool, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do after I was done. My Aunt (who was a flight attendant) had recently gotten remarried to a pilot. I was asking him about what was involved in becoming a pilot and he gave me lots of info and then offered to take me on a flight. This was before 9/11 so I got to sit in the jumposeat in teh flight deck the whole trip from Toronto to New York, we stayed at the World trade Center Marriott and spent the day exploring Manhattan. It was great. When I got home I decided that that would be a great career. So far it's a little different than what I expected, flying into short dirt runways in the middle of nowhere verses International airports in Exoctic cities, however, it still has it's moments.

Neat story, Jamie. Thanks for sharing it! That's much better than the story of how I became an accountant (I kept spilling things on customers when working as a waitress so I knew I had to find a different profession!!)
I used to like it when people thought I was older than I looked too! Isn't that funny? (Not any more tho. I'm so glad that 50 is the new 40!!!)
