Hi there! I have been away from here for a while and just wanted to let all my friends here know I have been thinking of you. Hope you are all doing well.
As you know, I lost my mother in May last year...so now my dad, brother, and I have been tackling the task of sorting through things at dad's house. We've donated lots of things to the local Rescue Mission, thrown unimportant things away, and kept the important things. We are in the process of packing what's left now so that when Dad finds a smaller place, he won't have all that to do at the last minute. He's still working and has had the winter off...so this has been a good time to work on this task. He's planning on working one more year before retirement.
I've been feeling pretty good. Have a few rough days once in a while. Still can't believe mom is gone.
{{{hugs to you all}}}

Thanks Chris. Yes, it is so hard to believe it's been almost a year now.
My puppies are doing good. Will be 9 this summer! Starting to get around a little slower, but they still love to play and run.

Hey Nugget!! Good to see you're still popping in once and a while.
I understand what you and your family are going through with your mom's belongings, my grandma passed away in May last year too. It's still hard, but I take it one day at a time.
Take care of you!!

Hi Nugget,
It is nice to see you. You have been through so much this past year. Your father is lucky to have your help going through your Mom's stuff. I know that couldn't have been easy.
Sure do miss you around here!

Hey Nugget! I'm doing alright - like I said, 1 day at a time! I had brain surgery in June and I went back to work in December. I'm still only 4 hours a day because of some nerve issues in my right arm, but it's coming along a little at a time. Not a day goes by where I don't think of my grandma or my father-in-law, but at least I don't break down in a fit of tears every time anymore. I hope you're doing well and your tum has been cooperating. I know the stress wreaks havoc on my stomach.
Hugs!!

I'm glad you are doing ok after your surgery. You've sure had a rough time. I know what you mean about your loved ones that you lost. There's not a day goes by that I don't think about my mom, too. But, like you said, at least I don't break down in tears every time now....but there are those days when all I can do is cry. {{{hugs to you}}}
