I will make sure that I post there. Thank you for the feedback. I have been reading the site for about two days now every chance that I get. Started Citrucel this morning and had plain white rice for breakfast. I will be following the guide and slowly adding things back. I hope that I will be able to find a happy balance. I will say that I plan to go primarily vegetarian because I have noticed that meats really send me into overdrive. As a person looking back from the other side any advice you can give me will be great.

Hi again Wizard,
I truly understand, and am sympathetic to, your circumstance here.
My suggestion in the earlier post was a Colonoscopy with biopsies . Did they do biopsies during you colon exam? As you appear to be a young person, and male, you do not fit within the primary "profile" of Microscopic Colitis which is female, over the age of 50.
However, that profile is a generalization, and there are many males (as well as children) with Microscopic Colitis. M.C. can only be diagnosed by microscopic examination of biopsies taken from the colon wall during a colonoscopic exam. The mucosal lining of the colon itself will appear totally normal.

Biopsies were done and everything was ok. My mother passed away due to colon cancer so when I had stomach issues they ran every test in the world on me to make sure I was ok. They have come to the conclusion now that it was an issue related to a medicine that she took that caused her problems and after much testing that we are ok. I still get checked on a regular basis blood levels and blood count liver function you know all the good stuff everything is fine all the doctors agree on ibs.

I hear you. One of my neighbors has Crohn's. She is probably the only person I've ever met face to face my age who really understands what it can be like sometimes.

It took me a while to dig out the post I wanted to send you to but here it is: old post
This has pointers to some stuff that helped me when I first started out. One thing I don't think I emphasized enough was how much a Soluble Fiber Supplement helped me. Heather's Acacia was a life-saver and I took a *lot* of it - worked up to very, very slowly.
I went on Lotronex about 6 months ago and I write about that here: Lotronex and me
I find peppermint tea very helpful. I like Tazo Refresh - good flavor and seems quite strong.
Finally, with regard to meats: red meat is a trigger food. Skinless white meat poultry; seafood; and egg whites are the only animal proteins that are safe on EFI. And it took me a long time to be able to handle egg whites.
I hope some of this helps.
