Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

Blah. Well, since this is the living room and we can just come to complain...we forwarned...I'm here to vent!
I've had a heck of a stressful week. My sister in law gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last week on the same day my husband's Grandpa took a turn for the worse. We made one trip (2.5 hrs) down there to visit the baby and say goodbye. That was Tues. This past weekend Grandpa was still around, so we visited again. He passed away Mon and we are now going down there this evening to get ready for calling hours and the funeral. It's very sad, as he only lasted 7 months since his lung cancer diagnosis...
In the meantime, I was supposed to get my mirena tomorrow. I cannot since we will be out of town. I went off the pill and am having a heck of a time with my period--aka I could hardly walk from the pain Fri. Now I have to wait even longer to get the mirena.
My belly is a mess! I don't know if it's stress, strange eating, etc...but I feel horrible! Did any women experience this after stopping the BC pill? I feel like it's making my bloating worse...uh oh!
Anyway, it's just been a long stressful week and I want a nap...but instead, here I go to finish laundry and pack. blah.
Thanks for letting me vent. It was needed...
