Must be true what they say, that dogs really take after their owners, too bad my German Shepherd couldn't take after my partner (who doesn't have IBS) then me. Anybody else have dog with IBS?

Ha ha - my dog totally has IBS too! She's a super nervous, anxious greyhound that we rescued. I firmly believe that she was maltreated at the racetrack, and that's the root of some of her problems. But any change in her routine and she has diarrhea for 3 or 4 days! And then she'll sleep for like 26 hours straight!!!

There was a story in the IBS newsletter about a dog with IBS. I thought it was amazing that a vet would think outside the box enough to diagnose IBS. I seem to remember the dog was on the peppermint caps but I guess you could sprinkle a SFS over there food.
My parent's dog gets the occasional upset tummy (scrambled eggs normally sorts it out though). I think it's more likely to be caused by his dedication to eat any old manky thing he finds in the park. Once he finds something he likes the look of we have to keep on the leash for days until he forgets about it. LOL
