Hmmm... a nickname of Snorkie and you live in Illinois.
Any relation to Al Capone?

I didn't know Snorkie was connected with Capone. It's just a various of a nickname my husband came up with. Learn something new everyday, I guess!

Omigosh!!!!! It's 11 right now but the wind chill is -11. We're in the middle of a literal blizzard. It started in the middle of the night and is supposed to go until 10 am. tomorrow a.m. I know we've gotten at a minimum of 5 more inches today. Most of it is blowing. White out conditions. Not a great time for a "potty" training puppy with diarrhea!!!! GEEZ!

Oh my, I am so sorry. I can't imagine having a puppy in this weather. Did you have to shovel a path so your puppy could go out? My dogs are having a rough time walking around out there.

It is really spelled snorky. It's an old term meaning a sharp dresser and Capone liked that nickname. (Nobody ever called him "Scarface" to his face).

Yeah...WE needed a path but just standing outside is miserable right now. I feel bad for Trooper but I'm starting to get grumpy. Thankfully my boys seem to be almost immune to the cold and WANT to go outside so they've taken him a few times. Blahhh

So I spoke to soon. It is now cold (for us anyway). The high today is 48 ~ I know still warmer than all of you. Stay warm and tummy stress free!

We are freezing on the east side of Michigan too! It was zero yesterday with a wind chill of -15. We had snow on Wednesday last week, no school, then on Friday we had 5 inches of snow with freezing rain mixed in. We had a crystal wonderland. No school again! I don't want to use all of our days just yet. I like to save them for the boring months of Jan, Feb and March. I hate the cold! We are suppose to get more snow on Christmas Eve as well.

We bought a snowblower this week. We bit the bullet. And ouch...but I know it'll be worth it. DH, my oldest son and I all have bad backs and have been miserable in the winters so, we got one. DH was so pleased that he did 3 neighbors driveways as well! I know we'll get our money's worth. We'll have at least 3 more months of snow! Happy camper here. Only thing that could be better would be...NO SNOW! Of course, that's not happening in Michigan! ![](/messageboards/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif)
P.S. We only had one snow day...on Friday.

Yeah! That will make things so much easier. We have a riding lawn mower that has a blade on it. Hubby doesn't think it is very fast and is talking about buying a snowblower. I told him at least he doesn't have to shovel!!!
