I got home from work last night and there was a package addressed to Harley, who is my dog, sitting on the table. I asked my hubby what it was and he had no idea. I did not recognize the return address but open it anyways. There is no note or card or anything, just a pair of OshKosh blue jean overalls, size 6-9 months. Now I supposed a dog could wear baby overalls but I am really at a lost as to who might have sent them to me.

The return address has the last name of Bottenfield in MN. I don't know anyone with that name or that lives in MN. I have no idea how they got my address and its a bit of a mystery. I post on this and two other message boards so I am asking if anyone on any of the message boards sent it?

I don't know if I should send them a thank you note or be creeped out??

Very curious!
Michele

Please do post and let us know what you find out. I can tell this is going to nag at my curiosity.

Is it possible to look up the return address and see if it matches the name on the package? I just really have no idea at all who sent this and its really strange. How would they get my dogs name, our last name and my home address?

I put in my husband's last name and our zip and it found him. You could try it and see.

You could also talk to the Post Office and see if they can offer any advice. This is pretty weird - it sounds like the sender thinks your dog is a child given how the package was addressed and what was in it. And who sends unsolicited clothing to little kids?

Thanks Sand. I tried searching it by name, nothing. Than by city and there is no street address that matches in the city under any name! Hmm, the mystery deepens!

The overalls are in great condition but I don't think they are brand new, there aren't any tags and they looked like they may have been washed once or twice. They were not wrapped, just folded into a post office mailer and no note or anything. Strange.

Where's Scooby and Shaggy when you need them!

Rachel who used to post a lot here ordered them for her new son and she had my address because she had mailed Harley an outfit when I first got him. Apparently my address popped up from her address book and thats how Harley ended up with her son's overalls! I will forward them to her today!
