Aw, you are so sweet! I got home last night, very tired but had just a marvelous time!!! Working on downloading pictures right now.
The plane ride went off just fine, after getting up at 3:15am!!! Was too excited to sleep on the plane though! We arrived at the resort about 9:30 am their time! Since we booked in the royal section, we had our own private check in lobby, private, adult pool and bar, was handed a mimosa (sp?) before we even finished the check in process!!
Our room wasn't going to be ready until 2, so we changed in the lobby and went to the pool and soaked up some sun and had a few welcome drinks. We went to the buffet for lunch and walked around a bit.
They had upgraded our room to a huge, suite with an ocean view!! We took a siesta, had some dinner and more drinks and continued to check the resort out.
The place was HUGE!!!! It had 4 main lobbies and the royal lobby. There are brick paver paths, two trains and many golf carts to help you get around. They also had a zillion covered walkways through out the resort. I can not get over how beautiful the place was.
The lobbies were all open air, with marble and comfy furniture. The buffet was pretty good, we ate breakfast there every morning. Lunch was usually at the bar on the beach. They have 8 alacart restaurants, we ate at those every night. Not a whole lot of ibs friendly food but my tummy did relatively ok!
The only real belly issues was after eating at a "real" Mexican pub on the beach when we went into Playa Del Carmen for an afternoon. Both Will and I had tummy issues after eating their!
On the way to the buffet, along the covered pathways, we walked through the alligator den! The had flamingos in another section and lots of lizard things running around! Instead of having gophers in the lawn, they have blue crabs that make dens in the dirt next to the paths!
The days were spent lounging on the beach (sometimes topless! ), drinking, and swimming in the ocean! The weather was wonderful and the salt water felt sooo good on my painful joints!
I soaked in our jacuzzi tub everyday, usually before dinner. We saw a couple of musical shows at the theater and they had local craftsman selling their wares in the evenings as well as musicians playing.
I got my hair braided the very first morning on the beach. The weather was humid and it was impossible to actually do anything with your hair. Will loves my hair braided and it still looks great! Its the perfect wash and go do!!
Other than an afternoon into Playa Del Carmen, we didn't leave the resort! I would recommend this resort to anyone thinking of going to Mexico!! The staff was friendly, there was lots to do and see. Something like 6 huge pools, lots of ocean front, the rooms are nice and clean. I did way more walking than I should have and I am paying for it now. However, I see the pain specialist tomorrow morning so I guess its good that everything is acting up right now.
Ok, will be back shortly with pictures!!! Will try to get caught up on posts soon as well!!

I'm happy you had such a relaxing time!! And I had no idea the salt water would help your joints so much! All you need is a hot spring at home!!
Did you and Will reconnect? Sounds like you might have...
Have a good appt. at the pain specialist.

I'm glad you had such a great trip! How did you find this place again? Not that we'll be in the market for a resort vacation anytime soon, but still...
I want pictures!

I had no idea the salt water would help as much either. The affects were very temporary but at least while in the water, my pain was much less!
Yes, Will and I did reconnect a bit, not as much as we had hoped!

Can you take hot salt water baths at home? Epsom salts maybe? Or is that something you already do?

Its the Grand Pallidium White Sands Riveria Spa and Resort. We stayed in the royal suites. Their website doesn't do it justice!! I will try to get the rest of the pictures up Monday. We got a really good deal, it was just over $2,500 including the air for both of us for 6 days! Thats all inclusive, food, booze, entertainment, everything!!!

The website does not do it justice!! There are the colonial and kentah resorts as well, they are all rolled into one resort. The white sands part is the newest and the royal section is adults only. Although the "older" sections were only built a few years ago as well!!

You can try getting a foot spa and adding salts to the water for your feet and ankles, at least.

Haven't quite got the $$ for it, though. Hubby and I are heading out to the coast next month to lay around at the beach and make sand castles all day.
Michele, what a beautiful place. I'm glad you had a good time there.
