Well, I had my first physical therapy appointment for my sciatica yesterday. They told me there wasn't much they could do for me. They gave me a few exercices to try and a maternity support belt (which covers a good portion of my back and under the tummy and over the tummy) and hopefully that'll help.
I went to PT last summer for the same...but a lot of what they did for me then, they can't do now. And of course, no pain pills for me. The lady felt bad she couldn't do more and said it'll probably just get worse. Great.
I'm going to give the exercises, keep using the heating pad, giant pillow at bedtime and the maternity belt thingy. I'm seeing the chiropractor once a week and am getting a massage every other. Oh, and 2 extra strength tylenol before bed! But if anyone has any other great remedies, I'm all ears.
I just can't believe that I've got 3 months to go and it's supposed to get progressively worse. ARghhhh.

Sorry you are so miserable right now. I had a lot of back pain with Ava. My tailbone bothered horribly and still does after birth. I tried a pillow between my legs to ease the pressure off. I went to the chiropractor and massage therapy as well. I know however those were only temporary reliefs since the extra weight puts pressure on all of your joints. Just try to hang in there and realize you will a precious gift for all of the agony!
