Ok the wedding is just over a week away and I have 2 HUGE pimples on my face. On Tommy's advice I went to the dermatologist that's doing my Botox to see what they can do. (Getting Botox next week, btw).
They injected (with a tiny needle) my 2 pimples with something (just like the stars do!!) to make the pimples go away ASAP. It was pretty much painless and already the redness from the pimple is going down.
Just had to share this experience!!! ha ha It just seems so "New York" of me. ha ha

I used to go to a dermatologist and have had several pimples injected! It just seems to make them go away a little quicker! What ever you do, DON'T pick them!!!! You;ve got enough time that they should go away by the wedding and there is always conceler!
Or, you can try Windex!!! Remember the movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding??!!
By the way girls, I guess I missed the details somehow, but when is the ciber hen party???

Hey Tina,
I didn't even know you could do that! I have never heard of injecting a pimple to make it go away. I hope that it works, though, and that you have ultra perfect skin for your wedding.. or at least perfect enough that make up can take of the rest, hee hee. I always get bad skin before a big occasion but I've excema and stuff, so I just have to wait it out.. it sucks! I'm sure if I was ever to get married, I'd be so anxious about the whole thing that my skin would just be a big, red flaky tomato - ew... ANYWAY! Just over a week away, that is so exciting! There about literally about 8 girls at my work that are engaged right now, and I hear a lotta wedding chatter - it's much fun. One of my friends just bought her wedding dress.. She is actually in New York right now, where she is going to check out some dresses there!
Very exciting, wedding fever everywhere!
**hugs** Steph

How much did it cost?
I've always had bad skin, though it's a million times better now than it used to be. Once I've got my IBS under control and I'm able to make money again my first treat will be 1 or 2 sessions of laser therapy - that should completely sort it out once and for all...

Thankfully it was covered under our insurance policy so it only cost $15 which is the cos of the visit. I can't see how without insurance it could cost too much because it litetrlayy took 2 seconds to do!!

The only reason I knew that it existed was from hearing that the celebs do it if they get a pimple before an important event! And yes, it was brought on by wedding stres - nothing bad just making sure all vendors are on track, etc.
I'm sooooo excited that I can BARELY even sleep this week. ha ha
She's here in NY? Cool! Do you know if she had a particular store(s) in mind?

Noooo, I won't pick them. I don't want scars!! They're already drying up and forming a scab or something. It's fascinating and I check the progress constantly in the mirror. ha ha
Windex??? Really? hmmm.

Yeah, she's in New York until Saturday. I dunno what stores she had in mind, just that she wanted to shop around. I imagine she'll probably try some on in the more expensive stores, just for fun. She has a budget of about $2K CDN so, we'll see! Maybe she'll end up with two dresses! Hee hee

You should try Aloette's Visible Aid cream and Nutri-Hydrating Mist on your exzema.

Save your time in going to the doc, just put toothpaste on the pimple at night before you go to bed. It actually does something to it. Dries it out maybe? Who knows but I just had a huge one on my cheek bone (hormone related I'm sure)and the toothpaste worked like a charm!
Glad the injection helped though. Amazing how many techniques there are out there. Especially in NYC. I keep saying that I'm gonna save my money and come there to get a makeover hair cut for $200! It would be worth it if I got it done by a professional(for the stars)hairdresser!

Toothpaste? I have heard that one, I'll try it next time.
You should spoil yourself with a trip to the Big Apple and go all out, new hairstyle and anything else you want!

Probably cortisone, right? I always wondered if that worked... glad to know it does.

I have heard that tartar control toothpaste can cause a bad skin reaction...be careful.
I personally just use that clean and clear salycilic (sp?) acid stuff. It works well and is not as harsh as the name sounds.
