Good post, Tina!
Let's see...
- My doctor staying late to make me her last appointment to refill my prescription because she knew I needed it
- Finally getting my motorcycle to my boyfriend's brother so he can bend the rear swing-arm for me
- Bouncing in my friend's trampoline with their 3 yr old daughter
- Getting hit on by elderly seniors yesterday while doing community service (does wonders for your self-esteem!)
- Laughing uncontrollably last night with my boyfriend as we attempted to sleep at his parents house while they're away... with one of their poodles furiously licking my boyfriend all night long (I slept good!)
- Getting to play hookey at work to go with my boss' daughter to her school as her "VIP" so she can show me around.. and getting paid for it!
- Anndd.. hopefully sleeping in tomorrow morning with my boyfriend since it's been a long week for both of us (if the poodle will stop licking him! lol)

---Taking my last law school final EVER, and surviving. It was on the Federal Rules of Evidence, four hours, multiple choice. I was pretty glad when I got out of there. Now I just have to write a total bullcrap paper on Asian Legal Systems and turn it in by next Thurs, and I'll be done with Law School!
--Power walk in the park with one of my best buddies from school.
--Spending time with the boy.
--Being asked to babysit for my 8-week old nephew alllll day this Sunday! Cannot wait!
--My neice, who was falling off the growth charts due to a food aversion mostly related to GERD, finally beginning to eat normally. My brother called to tell me she ate an entire banana -- that may seem like no big deal to you but my whole family has been in tears of joy. She's only 18months old and was really not doing well, so this is HUGE! She sat at the table at my mom's last week and kept on asking for MORE? MORE? MORE?
--Sending a card to my bff from high school. We had a huge falling out 3 years ago and haven't spoken since. I saw her wedding announcement in the paper and was devestated that we've grown so far apart that I had no idea she'd even been engaged. I don't know if she'll write back but I feel good about getting in touch.
--Did I already say spending time with the boy?

We're taking a trip to Chicago in June - my stepfather's flying us out there with his frequent flier miles (he works there) - and we got the itinerary the other day, which makes the trip seem more real than just talking about it. And we're flying first class! Woohoo! But I'm very excited about the trip to begin with, so that just made me happier.

My mom goes out there regularly, though, since Jay works out there (and lives there 4 days a week), and she's sending me a travel guide and a list of things she likes to do when she's there. Apparently it's a great city, with lots of museums and things like that, which is right up my alley.
It's also the first time Adam and I have gone on a vacation together. Aww! LOL

...although I don't go as often as I thought I would when I moved here. (It's little more than an hour east of me.)
Also, most museums in Illinois have a weekly "donation day" or "free day" if they receive state funding. Special exhibits will still have admission, but general admission is no charge...just a tip if you thought about taking in the Field Museum or the Art Institute. I know both have donation days; I just can't remember what day(s).

I love Chicago. As a loyal NY'er, I can actually say that Chicago is the only other city I'd like to live in. I thought it was going to be frumpy or unsophisticated, but it's just like a nicer, cleaner NY. The people are definitely more polite but they still have that cosmopolitan edge. I stayed at the Palmer House Hilton, which is worth walking through, just because it's gorgeous. Also you'll probably like the Peggy Noterbart (spelling?) nature museum. They have a tremendous butterfly exibit. One of my best friends got married there. It's also the scene of one of the worst IBS attacks I ever had (before I'd even heard of IBS!). Anyway I'm sure you'll have a great time!

Park, which right now we're planning on having it June 9th. The place is noted for it's fantastic sand dunes and the nicest fresh water beaches in the world. We're having a picnic outing along with a pot luck barbeque. So if you're in town at that time, please do come out! We can get you directions, etc. no problem. It's just an hour's drive from downtown Chicago. -Bob

I'll know better once my mom sends up the travel book and her list... then Adam and I can go through it all, see what we want to do, and then I'll be able to ask more intelligent questions. LOL! Although, food recommendations are always a good thing - everyone in my family knows I have IBS, but they don't even remotely understand how to eat for it. I know I can always do sushi, and Indian is pretty safe because I know what I can eat, but beyond that, if you have any recommendations, I'd love to know. We're going to be eating out almost every meal from the time we get there Wednesday night, till Sunday morning before we leave again!
We'll be staying at my stepfather's apartment - nice and cheap, LOL! Oh, and we're flying into O'Hare. (Or is it Ohare? Well, whatever. )

...that it's a cleaner, nicer version of NY. She just loves it there - not quite enough to leave NY, but pretty close! I made a note of the nature museum; I'm almost positive Adam will like that too, so I think that'll be a must-see. Thanks!

We'll only be there from the 14th to the 18th. Besides which, my mother and stepfather see us so rarely that I'm pretty sure they wouldn't let us out of their clutches long enough to go anyway!
But it sounds like it'll be fun!

I'm convinced he is a prodigy or my guardian angel. He is home with us full time now, he stays out of his crate when I go to work, he has a dog walker come by to take him out, walk him, and play with him---for an hour! He doesn't pee, poop, or get into anything. When we leave he doesn't cry, in the morning he sleeps in. He doesn't bite us or bark excessively. he rings his bell to go outside (Adorable!) like a champ, he plays outside for hours by himself. He doesn't beg. He loves people. He loves to snuggle in the morning and when we come home from work.
I could seriously go on and on. Some of you may remember how stressed I was when we first got him. I don't think he's normal---he's abnormally smart and good and obedient, considering he's only FIVE MONTHS OLD!!! I love him! He has turned out to be everything I ever wanted. And here's a pic:

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous! Ok, my dog is 4mths old tomorrow. He doesn't tell me when he needs to go out, he bites excessively, he's up at 5am (sleep in! What the heck is that?!?!?) He barks at me when I put him on a long lead outside in the yard. Can not obviously entertain himself for hrs!!! He won't let me brush him. He's afraid of the stinkin thing. What's up with that????? He jumps up at the kitchen table and counter tops and has gotten numerous cheese sandwiches from my youngest who fails to watch his food. Oh he at a whole pack of Trident gum that he jumped up at the kitchen table and grabbed off of it! I could go on and on too however, mine are not near as happy moments as yours! It's funny too cause Golden's and Labs are VERY smart and learn VERY quickly. That explains why your doggie is so smart. He has Lab in him. He does give me his paw(both actually one at a time when asked) and he does sit but that's pretty much it. When he's not obessively trying to find my underwear he's looking for a sock instead! Ughhhhhhh...Maybe at 5mth's I will be talking like you. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
BTW I just wanna squeeze your dog and hug him. He's the cutest thing. I'm so glad you didn't decide to give him away. He turned out so precious!!!

This was a good idea for a post. I was just sort of like "meh" this week, and realized that I have a lot to be grateful for. Thanks for the reminder.
I'm happy about: - stomach not acting up as badly as it could - making enough $ to sustain myself (every day on my way to and from work I see about 10 people who are not so fortunate) - close friends that are hard to come by - a tough project at work wrapping up - the amazing weather - being unbelieveably sore after a good workout - sleeping in tomorrow!!

Don't worry, I think your puppy is perfectly normal!! And maybe all of a sudden one week it will just instantly be better like it was for us. We still need to work on having him out in public--we just took him on a walk for ice cream, and the traffic and people and lights were a bit too much. But I feel really good about things, and I'm SO glad we kept him. I wish someone could have shown me the future a few months ago, but I probably wouldn't have believed it, ha ha.
Anyway, good luck, and I hope you can get enough rest and keep that puppy off the tables!

-finally got my appointment for my throat camera (for end of June) after 6months of waiting. Will eliminate or confirm ceoliacs disease - finishing my 5 essays before the deadline (10th May)...just need to proof read them - Shopping with my mummy! - and the clothes she bought me (bonus) - going on the tram (train) without an attack - sleeping two nights on the row without my boyfriend snoring - Helping out at my mum`s school and not having an attack AND deciding I want to do it for the rest of my life - the smell of freshly cut grass - getting in some exercise (might only have been walking...but its a start) -having a great family, friends, and boyfriend -the best support group ever on here
and I know I am so more fortunate than others...I`m just appreciative of life, especially as it is nearly summer...I live for summer (and shopping)
although I have come home from work poorly today.I have the sniffles/flu (could be hayfever?)...the plus side to that is it wasn`t cos of my ibs....I have made a pact with myself I won`t let that get to me, I now handle it wherever I am and WILL not come home because of it....(touch wood....don`t want to jinx myself)
Thanks for this uplifting post!

OBVIOUSLY -my lovely husband
LESS OBVIOUSLY:(and often quite shallowly..) -Getting my highlights done and hair cut -False tan- I painted myself for the first time in ages, it came out great and I feel all summery - After all my depression last week about being a heffalump I went to my friend's party on Friday and tons of people (ex work colleagues mostly) complimented me on how well I looked- they haven't seen me for about three years so had not idea that i have actually put on weight recently, it did buckets for my confidence -spending 34 minutes on the treadmill and covering 4.45km, I am really getting into this exercise buzz and it feels great -having a great night out on Friday and chatting with people I hadn't seen in ages -not being hungover today as I drank very little last night
