I remember one year my mom made me a dinosaur costume because the neighbour ladies boy wanted to be one and she didn't know how to sew. So my mom volunteered me as a dinosaur to help her out.

I wasn't too impressed with the idea at the start...I think I wanted to be a princess or something. But anyways - it turned out awesome...they did such a great job...and I ended up winning the "Best Costume Prize" in my grade that year.
I was pretty pumped.

My worst costume would be when my mom dressed me as GI JOE! (No wonder I have issues - she thinks she had a boy LOL) Anyways - I remember it was super cold and windy and we had to put a snow suit on under my plastic costume LOL
A big gust of wind came up and my face mask blew off (and it was only the second house so we had to get it back) so my mom is racing across the neighbours farm yard after my mask.
And I am laughing (just seeing my mom running cracked me up) and she comes puffing up to me and is like "You think that's funny!! It's not funny! Get in the car" LOL - She was super steamed LOL

Ah, good ol' Childhood Memories!! LOL

My favorite was when I was a cavewoman! I had a tiger print long sleeve shirt, and I ripped the sleeves off, so it was kinda jagged. I had on burgandy/brownish color tights, and I used the sleeves as legwarmers. I had an old T-shirt that I wripped up and used as the skirt. And, my favorite part, I took one of those really hard plastic dog bones (new, of course! LOL) and I put a ponytail right on top of my head, then twirled it around the bone, and pinned it to my head.
