In Queens, no sidewalks or streets have been plowed here at all. I don't think anyone will go to your thing tonight. People probably want to stay in.

You miss the Canadian winters Tina? Oh boy, I could so do without them! Not that the pictures weren't gorgeous, I'm just personally sick and tired of the cold and the snow...I haven't liked it for the last few years...bring on the heat!

We surely don't get it like that out here! Whoa, I won't ever complain again. You guys must get super wet snow, too, by the looks of it.
Anyhow, enjoy. I sure do miss our snow this winter too.

Looks like the same amount we received here last Sunday. We received about 40 cm (approx. 15 inches) in aprox. 48 hours. Not much traffic moved at all. Sidewalks were not walkable until Wed. Now were too put it all? lol But being Canadian and living in Northern Ontario winter is nothing with out the cold and the snow. Bring it on!! Take care Sue

No, unfortunately it is not good for snowmen or snowballs. Good thing is that it is light enough to shovel. My commute is gonna suck tomorrow but what can ya do? 26.9 inches of snow can do that!

26.9 inches of snow???? Wow! I didn't realize it was that much. I feel sorry for ya having to go out and about in it tomorrow. To tell you the truth, I can't imagine what it's like to worry about a commute, because here on the prairie; we really don't have traffic to contend with, so when the weather is bad; it just means ya have to leave a little earlier than usual but it's not that big of a deal. I used to live in Wichita and even in that "big" city, the commute is nothing compared to a truly big city like New York.

Yeah I know what you mean. I just found out that service is suspended on my commuter rail line. I may just take the day off. I have 14 days and will only be using 7 for the honeymoon so I have some days to spare.

We saw a few flurries here in AL Saturday night and that alone was cause for much excitement and anticipation. Alas...no snow! Just sunny and COLD!! We'd be without power for a month with that much white stuff!
However, we'll be enjoying sunny 70 degrees by mid-week, so I won't complain!!
