Tom. in the morning (between 9am and 10am) I am scheduled for a cystoscopy and hydrodistension.
This is exploratory surgery to make sure I have interstitial cystitis and nothing worse. If it IS interstitial cystitis, 50% of patients have remission for several months following surgery.
Some patients experience significant pain, get an infection, and are even hospitalized following this procedure (some are unable to go to the bathroom! ) so I'm totaly freaked out!
Please pray that I am able to void properly, that I'm not in a lot of pain, that I have no complications, and that it puts me in remission for months to come! (And I am 2 hours ahead of EST if you want to pray at the specific time of the surgery.)
Thank you all for your love, kindness, friendship..you are my family and I love you! *hugs*

Take it easy this evening. Do you have your books ready?

You'll be in my thoughts tomorrow Ruchie. I hope it goes much easier than you fear and that all is well. Do your best to keep your mind off all of these odds they've told you and focus on relaxing as best you can in each moment. You've been so strong through all of this, I truly hope you get the best possible diagnosis.

I have tons of books! But only one Harr Potter...so I am saving it until after the surgery...figure I'll need it more then than I do now (to calm my nerves). So I am reading other books atm until after the "big event".
I'm just trying so hard to make peace with the whole thing you know? If I can just be at peace I'll be a-ok. So I'm working on it. I have a feeling I'll be there by tom. a.m. lets hope so!
Thanks for your kind words and love Maria *hugs* Ruch

Thanks Dan!
I'm trying not to think of all the odds. I have a fantastic doc (he's written articles on IC for med books and such!) and I know G-d will be with me the whole time!
And knowing I have people praying for me helps a LOT! At the Torah reading tom. they will say a Misheberach for me! And it will actually be around the time of the surgery. I feel very Blessed! I just keep trying to remind myself of the positive...and to keep drinking tons of water! Any other advice...I feel you have a naturopathic side to you?
Thanks again Hope you are well and attack-free these days?
