Well, I don't know if it's all the crap that has been going on in my life lately or what...but a few days ago I did something drastic. Probably wouldn't be considered drastic to many of you, but for me it was. I dyed my hair dark! I'm 23 and have never, ever dyed my hair (save for highlights) and have certainly never gone dark. Just up and did it one day. I actually think it looks nice but I must admit I kinda do a double-take when I see a mirror right now

I'd love to get opinions on it...it was supposed to come out a bit darker but I think it ended up with some reddish tones to it...probably because I had blonder highlights or something. My Dad is getting married in April so it'll need to be touched up by then and I'm thinking of going slightly more brown (i.e. darker). Anyways, let me know what you think:

I tried to just post the pictures but they were coming out HUGE and I didn't want to cause anyone trouble...so sorry you have to go to the link

I like it! It looks so professional! Darker hair really brings out your eyes, V!

Nelly votes: Two thumbs up!

I agree...very nice. No matter how you got them, the red highlights are very flattering!

Kelly, it's positively electric. Low lights would work, but (and I don't know how you feel about this) maybe a trim might be better? Some soft layering for more "flow?" I love it. It warms up your face & accentuates your eyes.

Kate, IBS-D.

Hey Kate,

I'm kinda clueless when it comes to my hair...what do you mean a trim for more flow? Like even shorter than that? Because that was actually quite short for me...I think I had about 3-4 inches taken off. Could you be a bit more specific?

Darker really suits you! And I like the reddish tone to it, too. Very pretty!
