considers staying on the boards to do what the board is intended for, supporting people with IBS and helping them with their struggles to get stable.
I understand not having time to chat on the LR, but hopefully some of the people who have stable tummies will still be around to help people on the Diet boards and such, as that really is the whole idea!

Otherwise, bye guys and I wish you lots of luck in the future.

Bye,
--Steph

Back when I considered leaving the boards, I ultimately decided to stay (after a brief sanity break) because I enjoy helping out where I can - even if it means "just" posting profile pictures for people, but really, doing what these boards are here for: supporting others with IBS.

I hope you guys will consider just ignoring the ridiculousness in the LR, and maybe coming back to offer advice, because it's greatly appreciated and much-needed.

But if not, well, you know we love y'all anyway.

...to all of you who do stay and offer advice, comfort, and support for us who still struggle. I don't know where I'd be if I didn't have you guys for guidance.

The advice is much appreciated and needed desparately on the Eating Board...and for those who are going through tough times here too.

...most of the posts aren't so "explicit" and this board can help save lives and be a blessing to many.

Don't let this ridiculous post (yes, I agree it was extremely inappropriate) keep you guys from leaving our "familiy". Each of you are an important member...everyone! Bev, Tommy, Rachel, BL ....everyone! I can't imagine the boards without any of you.

boo to everyone leaving for all reasons!

I sort of left for a while when I was very busy and got on just fine, but have just come back in the last couple of days. Sometimes I found that the boards were consuming my evenings and I was neglecting P and my life in general.

I'm very sad that people are leaving a board like this because of others' opinions/views etc. We have had this conversation many times before- if you don't like a post don't read it, or don't follow it after you click the first time. Sometimes a post will not have a subject that you can tell if it is something that would be offensive to you when you click in to read it but it's easy to close the window.

This board is first and foremost a support board, remember that, people come here looking for support in all areas of their lives.

However, given the younger people on the boards these days I do think that there are topics we shouldn't discuss here. Private messaging (as Linz suggested) would be great. Can we do locked threads or more than one way conversations where you can invite people to help or something so that we could all chip in.

Oh yeah, I'm liberal too, What about new forum called "Liberals" or "Controversial Topics that are likely to offend" I AM JOKING, some things belong here, some don't, use common sense everyone.

byeeeee for now
