Yes I can get Tylenol with codeine here. I did take one and it helped but it knocked me out. So it's fine when I can be at home but not if I ahve to go to work.

Excedrin is good but all the caffeine in it isn't ibs-friendly. I've been taking lots of it and woke up with an attack this morning.

Thanks Lisa!

Alyson, you're defintely right. Dairy is a HUGE trigger for me. I had tea on the weekend with my parents and had cow's milk in it. Ugh, that alone could have been enough to cause my migraine. I don't ahve much dairy but should eliminate it all again.

Thanks, very helpful info!

Nelly! Nelly! Nelly!

Oh my, your mom is a hard lady to deal with. I agree that you've done your time. You don't need any aggravation from her. How is her health though?

Ha ha, too cute about the toy. Dogs rule!!!!

I miss ya and hope to see you soon-ish!

Hi S. S. I have not posted before but have benefited from all the info on the boards for a while now.
My partner used to suffer from horrible migrains. We had to sort of wait the process out, which involved throwing up and then going to the hospital for the demoral and gravol shot and then sleeping for 48 hours. A pharmacist told me to give my partner 3 tylenol 1 (with codeine) and 2 regular advil at the onset of the headache. So far, no trips to the hospital in 2 years. Anyway, I know it sounds like a lot of meds to take at one shot for someone not used to taking pain relief, but it has been a life saver. Best of luck.

peppermint oil (smelling it and applying on temples and on either side of nose) and feverfew (taken orally) are the ONLY thing that help my migraines! Nothing otc ever worked...

Feel better *hugs*

The generic is ergotamine ... if that helps any. Hope you find something that helps, migraines stink!

Hi Tina,
I am only about an hour away from you. Beautiful, bright day in the Valley today.
Oh, another thought on the migraine issue. Someone said to take hot baths, but my information is that hot baths actually intensify the pain. Have a great day.
